Turtle Band

I created this illustration as a playful take on street performance, using turtles as the unexpected main characters. The scene mixes realism with humor—one turtle using another’s shell like a drum—while the watercolor textures help keep the world warm and expressive. The city alley backdrop, posters, and abandoned guitar all hint at a story happening beyond the frame, giving the piece a lived-in feel. Overall, this was an experiment in character design, environment drawing, and adding personality to something as simple as two turtles on a sidewalk.
